Diamond Dawgs: You made me proud

Yeah so we finished second in the College World Series. That sucks, no doubt. But what a season. It was more than any Georgia Bulldog fan could have expected from a team in 2007 that had a losing record. You really just got to tip your hat to the Fresno State Bulldog team. They played hard. But I am very proud of my Georgia Bulldogs who represented our school and state with class. To the seniors who finished short of perfect, keep your heads up and be proud. It is hard playing such a long season to be and finishing runner-up in the CWS. It is not fair at all. It is harder for baseball than the spotlighted college football teams, which many get a chance to play in a bowl game and end the season as winners although not the national champions. The way football is set up is much more fair, but the NCAA CWS is that much sweeter. And to make to the finals is a fantastic accomplishment! But really more than anything thanks for being classy Diamond Dawgs of '08.
